Description of key information

A study to evalute the octanol-water partition coefficent is waived on the grounds that the material reacts completely with water to form propionic acid. However, the data for propionic acid is provided to aid the chemcial safety assessment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
0.33
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

In accordance with REACH Annex VII, the study was waived on the grounds that the test cannot be performed as the test material rapidly reacts completely with water to form proprionic acid. The key value for the chemical safety report is the ocatanol-water partition coefficent (log Pow) for propionic acid.
