PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB

The substance is readily biodegradable and has an average BCF value at 373 L/kg, therefore does not meet the criteria for persistence (P) and bioaccumulation (B). For the T criterion, no acute toxic effects were observed up to the attainable limit of solubility of the substance for the three trophic levels (fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae), but toxic effects were observed in long-term exposure for fish and aquatic invertebrates, with EC10 values of 0.10 and 0.088 mg/L, respectively. As these values are greater than the T criterion of 0.01 mg/L, the substance is not classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic for reproduction, and there is no other evidence of chronic toxicity, the substance does not meet the criterion for toxicity (T).

In conclusion, the substance could not be considered as a PBT or vPvB substance.
