Description of key information

In accordance with REACH Annex VIII column 2, the hydrolysis study does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable. In addition, the substance contains no organic functional groups that may hydrolyze under environmental condition like alkyl halides, amides, amines, epoxides or esters. The substance consists only of organic functional groups that are relatively or completely inert with respect to hydrolysis. Based on the chemical structure an estimation of the hydrolysis rate is not possible. Furthermore, from the results of the daphnid study it can be concluded that the substance does not hydrolyse rapidly. The measured levels of the substance at the end of the test were lower than those at the start but only by a small amount over 48 h. This small decrease could have been due to adsorption by the vessel.
