Description of key information

The substance is insoluble in water. In LISEC study (2001) for all the elements analysed the solubility was below the detection limit. Similar results have been obtained from other tests. Low solubility of Chromium from Ferrochromium slag can be explained by mineralogy. Poor solubility of chromium is a result of the mineralogical capture of chromium into the stable spinel phase, and also in silicate phases, and of the structural encapsulation of the dispersed crystals inside an impermeable chemically stable glass phase.
