Additional information

The vapour pressure was assessed reporting estimation methods using (Q)SPR techniques. Such methods were used as the expected vapour pressure was at the lower limit of that which can be reliably determined experimentally.

For low-volatility compounds, the method of Myrdal and Yalkowsky (1997) tends to overestimate vapour pressures (Barley and McFiggans, 2010) when provided with an experimental boiling point. The modified Grain method by EPA MPBPWIN gives a value having the same order of magnitude of the previous one.

Therefore it appears reasonable to calculate the vapour pressure of DIPLAST TM 4 as the mean of Moller and Nannoolal methods, to obtain a summary value suitable for the assessments of the above substance.
