Additional information

Algal growth inhibition has been investigated on three structural analogues of the registered substance. Tests were conducted according to OECD test methods and dissolution/dispersion agents were used to increase concentration of two of the substances in the test medium. Other studies investigated the effects of a water accommodated fraction resulting in significantly lower levels of exposure.

In contrast with the experimental values from the tested structural analogues, QSAR estimates for the registered substance predict EC50 values ranging from 0.054 mg/L to 1.98 mg/L and a NOEC of 0.038 mg/L. However, similarly low values are obtained from QSAR estimates of the three structural analogues and it is considered that modelling may not be a reasonable predictor for these substances.
