Additional information
Toxicity tests which determined the effect of sodium carbonate on terrestrial organisms are not available. In accordance with section 1 of Annex XI of the REACH Regulation, the study does not need to be conducted as in water sodium carbonate is dissociated into sodium and carbonate ionsand both ions will not adsorb on particulate matter. Furthermore exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.
