In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII (required in Section 9.2.1.1) of REACH Regulation 1907/2006 the study is not applicable if the substance is inorganic.This substance is inorganic and by virtue of that fact cannot be biodegradable. Biodegradation is the chemical breakdown of materials by a physiological environment of organic materials such as plant and animal matter and other substances originating from living organisms, or artificial materials that are similar enough to plant and animal matter to be put to use by microorganisms. This substance cannot be described in this way.

So the substance cannot be described as being biodegradable for any of the end points in this section. In the presence of water, it will fully dissociate to sodium and carbonate ions which will disperse in the various media.
