Conclusion on classification

Short-term aquatic toxicity data are available for three trophic levels (fish, invertebrates and algae). The acute effect values for fish (Danio rerio), daphnids and algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus) are 5.6 mg/L, 17 mg/L and 4.2 mg/L, respectively. The substance does not need to be classified for acute aquatic hazard.

Long-term aquatic toxicity data are available for three trophic levels (fish, invertebrates and algae). The chronic effect values for fish, Daphnia and algae are 0.91 mg/L, 0.99 mg/L and 0.57 mg/L, respectively. Regarding the chronic data (lowest chronic value in the range of 0.1 - 1 mg/L) and the substance' non-readily biodegradability, the substance needs to be classified for Aquatic Chronic 2. Therefore, based on long-term toxicity data, the substance is classified as Aquatic Chronic 2 (H411) in accordance with EU CLP (EC no. 1272/2008 and its updates).
