Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
Verdox is generally regarded as a liquid with a melting point of 29.8 degrees. On formation of crystals the substance can solidify and requires heating (<40 degrees) to liquify. At ambient temperature this material can be treated as a liquid.

Substance type:
Verdox is a colourless crystalline solid at ambient temperature.
Executive summary:

Verdox is a clear and colourless substance with a melting point of 29.8 °C at a standard pressure of 101.3 kPa and is therefore a solid conform the definitions of CLP. Verdox is nearly exclusively handled, dosed and transported in liquid form and is kept in storage at elevated temperatures (50-60 °C). It may turn into a crystalline solid when kept at room temperature or below for an extended period of time.

Description of key information

Verdox is officially a solid, because the melting point at atmospheric pressure is higher than 20°C. However it is handled, dosed and transferred nearly exclusively in liquid form. Therefore, the key value to be used for this endpoint for the CSA will be set to "liquid".
