Description of key information

Toxicity of Triethanol amineacetate to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
100 mg/L

Additional information

The test substance Triethanol amineacetate showed no inhibitory effect on the growth of Pseudokirchneriella subcapita during the exposure period of 96 hours up to and including the highest nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. Therefore, based on the results of this study the EC50 for both growth rate reduction and yield inhibition is greater than 100 mg/L. The NOEC for both growth rate reduction and yield inhibition was 100 mg/L.
