Additional information

In vivo studies were not required according to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.

Short description of key information:
Two key studies on genetic toxicity conducted with Triethanol amineacetate reported negative results. A further three studies on read-across substances RA2 and RA1 also reported negative genetic toxicity.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

Two studies were carried out on Triethanol amineacetate; bacteria reverse mutation study and gene mutation test in mammalian cells. The results of both of these studies were negative. Therefore Triethanol amineacetate is not mutagenic.
