Long-term toxicity to fish

Description of key information
The observed short term toxicity to fish NOEC > 10000 mg/l (wet wt.) > 4850 % (dry wt.) and no lethal effects were seen in the EU C.1 and OECD 203 acute toxicity limit test applying high Green liquor sludge load and water accommodated fraction method and 0.2 µm filtered test media.
It is unlikely that fish is the most sensitive species for toxicity of dissolved (WAF) constituents of GLS. Algae and Daphnia tests showed some acute toxicity opposite to fish test where no toxicity was observed.
To avoid unnecessary vertebrate testing data waiving for this endpoint is proposed.
