Description of key information

The justification on test waiving is based on the specific adaptation rules in column 2 of Annex VII. The study only needs to be conducted if, based on structure, surface activity is expected or can be predicted. Typically surface active agents are organic compounds. Green liquor sludge is an inorganic UVCB substance and it is always produced, marketed and used in solid mineral like form. Based on SAR analysis, none of the known constituents in GLS is a surface active agent.
