Details on results:
Preliminary test: The content of test substance dissolved in the water sample was between 678 and 1026 g/l.

Main study: The results for the samples taken at 24, 48 and 72 hours were 801, 786, 879 g/l respectively, maximum difference (MD) was < 15%. pH was determined to be 5.4, 5.3 and 5.4, respectively. According to the guidelines, the water solubility of the test substance is given as the mean value of the analysed concentrations.

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The flask method was chosen for the determination of the water solubility of Sodium Monochloroacetate (SMCA). The water solubility of the test substance at 20.1°C +/- 0.5°C was 822 g/l. The pH of the aqueous sample after 72 hours stirring was 5.4.
