Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The heating run shows a glass transition temperature (amorphous components) at -74 °C (1st and 2nd heating run). The glass transition temperature of the test item (main component) was verified by subsequent test with an other DSC measurement starting at -150 °C.

The cooling run shows no crystallisation.

There are no values given for pressure but assumed to be measured at normal pressure (1013 hPa). No information is given on specification on decomposition/sublimation temperature.

Description of key information

pour point: -42 °C at ca. 1013 hPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-42 °C

Additional information

The pour point of the substance "Reaction mixture of glycerol-1,3-di(acetate), glycerol acetate and triacetin" (EC 905-964-4) was determined according ASTM D 97 -02 Method. The glass transition temperature (<=-74 °C) of the substance was determined according to OECD Guideline102 with differential scanning calorimetry.
