Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye Contact : Remove any contact lenses at once. Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Seek medical attention if necessary.
Skin Contact : Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes under the water stream. Isolate contaminated clothing to prevent contact by others. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Consult a physician if necessary.
Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Do NOT induce vomiting.
Fire-fighting measures
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Evacuate personnel to safe areas.
UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS: If product is exposed to fire or intense heat, toxic fumes may be generated.
Accidental release measures
Isolate hazard area. Wet down spill with water or wet sand and transfer to properly labeled drum for disposal by suitable waste disposal contractor.
Large area clean-up can be achieved by treating with 3-4% of sodium hypochlorite solution. Wear appropriate protective equipment for solutions being handled. Treat all used protecting equipment and collected clean-up solution as contaminated waste.
For lab scale handling, decontamination of surfaces or equipment can be achieved by treating with 3-4% of sodium hypochlorite solution. Wear appropriate protective equipment for solution being handled.
Treatment, storage, transportation and disposal must be in accordance with applicable governmental and local regulations.
Handling and storage
Store the container at prescribed place after its cover is tightened. The storage area should be kept locked.
Avoid high temperature and humidity. Do not reuse the drum.

Exposure controls / personal protection
- General protective and hygenic measures:
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Keep away from tobacco products.
Avoid close or long term contact with the skin.
- Personal Protective Equipment:
- Respiratory protection:
Use suitable respiratory protective device in case of insufficient ventilation.
- Protection of hands:
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the substance and preparation.
Gloves should be made of synthetic rubber as a minimum standard of protection.
- Eye protection:
Goggles with side splash protection or safety glasses are recommended to be worn during refilling, to provide a minimum standard of protection.
- Body protection:
Full body impervious protective clothing should be worn as a minimum standard of protection.
