Description of key information

Under the tested conditions, the test substance has been shown to be biodegradable, but not readily biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable

Additional information

The biodegradation of the test substance has been examined in a modified Sturm Test according to guideline 84/449/EEC C.5 in compliance with GLP. The CO2 evolution has been detected in samples with initial concentrations of 10 mg/L and 22.5 mg/L for 28 days. Under the tested conditions, the substance has been shown to be biodegradable, but not readily biodegradable.
