Description of key information

It is proposed that testing on biodegradation in soil is not required for the test substance, as the risk ratio is below 1.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Column 2 of Annex IX, section 9.2.1.3, a simulation test on biodegradation in soil is needed if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance and its degradation product. As the risk for organisms being exposed to the substance is acceptable (risk characterisation ratios are below 1), the available data on degradation is sufficient for the risk assessment and further tests are not required. Furthermore, the substance has a low log Koc value and is not bioaccumulative.
