Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Based on all available data on biotic and abiotic degradation, bioaccumulation and toxicity it can be stated that the substance does not fulfil the PBT criteria (not PBT) nor does it fulfil the vPvB criteria (not vPvB).

The substance is ready biodegradable and therefore is not persistent (P) or very persistent (not vP) in the environment as stipulated in the ECHA Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment (Part C: PBT Assessment, ECHA 2017).

Due to the results from chapter 4.3, Bioaccumulation the substance is not bioaccumulative (not B) and not very bioaccumulative (not vB).

Due to the results of the aquatic toxicity studies (see chapter 7.1, Aquatic compartment including sediment) and the relevant mammalian toxicity studies (see chapter 5, Human Health Hazard Assessment), the substance is not toxic (not T).

Because the substance does not fulfil the PBT and vPvB criteria, no emission characterisation is needed (see Annex I, Section 4.2).
