Sieving and light scattering. Calculated the percentage of particles that were less than 105 µm. The particles less than 105 µm were analysed for particle size distribution using a Beckman Coulter LS 230 Particle Size Analyzer.

Executive summary:

Determination of granulometry: Accurately weighed a l05 µm sieve and an empty pan. Accurately weighed approximately 5 g of test substance into the sieve. Place sieve and pan on a sieve shaker and shook for 5 minutes. Re-weighed the sieve and the pan. Calculated the percentage of particles that were less than l05 µm. The particles less than l05 µm were analysed for particle size distribution using a Beckman Coulter LS 230 Particle Size Analyzer.
