This endpoint is not a requirement of Annex IX. There is no information available on carcinogenicity of 1,4 -diethylbenzene. All in vitro genotoxicity tests are negative and in the available data on repeated dose toxicity there is no indication that the substance would be able to induce carcinogenicity. Any carcinogenicity study has been planned.
