Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Remove contaminated clothing.
If inhaled: Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air.
On skin contact: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
On contact with eyes: Wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open.
On ingestion: Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water.
Symptoms: No significant reaction of the human body to the product known.
Treatment: Symptomatic treatment (decontamination, vital functions).
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Dry powder, carbon dioxide, water spray, alcohol-resistant foam
Unsuitable extinguishing media for safety reasons: water jet, Not alcohol resistant foam
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: carbon oxides, harmful vapours can be released in case of fire.
Advice for fire-fighters: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Can form explosive gas/air mixtures. Cool endangered containers with water-spray. Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: No special precautions necessary, use personal protective clothing.
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: For small amounts: Pick up with suitable absorbent material. For large amounts: Dike spillage. Pump off product. For residues: Contain with absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, general purpose binder, sawdust). Sweep/shovel up.
Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with regulations.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: No special measures necessary provided product is used correctly. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices
Protection against fire and explosion: Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Avoid all sources of ignition: heat, sparks, open flame.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Suitable materials for containers: use only use approved steel and plastic containers (stainless steel, polyethylene, high density polyethylene (HDPE), glass)
Further information on storage conditions: Containers should be stored tightly sealed in a dry place. Keep under inert gas. Protect from of light, air and heat.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection: Not applicable with adequate ventilation
Hand protection: No special protection needed under normal conditions of use. Wear suitable gloves.
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles) (e.g. EN 166)
Body protection: Body protection must be chosen based on level of activity and exposure.
General safety and hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: No hazardous reactions if stored and handled as prescribed/indicated.
Corrosion to metals: Corrosive effects to metal are not anticipated.
Formation of flammable gases: Forms no flammable gases in the presence of water.
Chemical stability: The product is stable if stored and handled as prescribed/indicated.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: None if used for intended purpose.
Disposal considerations
Observe national and local legal requirements.
