Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Aquatic Toxicity:

Short-term L(E)C50results are available for each of the three trophic levels.

Fish:Short-term toxicity to Cyprinus carpio was investigated in an OECD TG 203 (Sipos, 2013a). The LC50(96h) was reported to be >100 mg/L.

Invertebrates:An acute toxicity test to Daphnia magna was performed (Noack, 2001). The EC50(48h) was estimated to be > 100 mg/L.

Algae:An OECD TG 201 algal growth inhibition test (Sipos, 2013b) was performed. Exposure of Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata gave an ErC50(72h) value of >100 mg/L. The No Observed Effect Concentration was 25 mg/L.

Conclusion on classification

Based on all available ecotoxicological data for daphnids, fish and algae (L(E)C50 values of >100 mg/L for all three trophic levels) and the ready biodegradability of the substance, the substance should not be classified and labelled for environmental hazards according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
