Description of key information

Accumulation in organisms is not to be expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

There is no experimental data on the bioaccumulation potential of

Reaction mass of bis(2-hydroxyethanaminium) sulfite and 2-(methylamino)ethanol - oxosulfane oxide (1:1)

available and therefore the bioaccumulation has been assessed with the substance’s dissociation products.

Reaction mass of bis(2-hydroxyethanaminium) sulfite and 2-(methylamino)ethanol - oxosulfane oxide (1:1)is soluble in water and dissociates to 2 -(methylamino)ethanol, (2- hydroxyethyl)ammonium and sulphite ions.

2 -aminoethanol is not expected to accumulate in organisms based on its logPow of -1.91.

2 -(methylamino)ethanol is not expected to accumulate in organisms based on its logPow of -0.91.

Because of its molecular structure, sodium sulphite is not expected to accumulate in biota either.
