Justification for classification or non-classification

In accordance with Section 1.2 of REACH Annex XI, there is sufficient weight of evidence from several independent sources of information leading to the conclusion that Phosphoric acid, butyl ester does not exert carcinogenic effects and thus does not have to be classified, because it has no genotoxic properties and additionally, repeated dose oral toxicity studies in rats with the substance and its structural surrogates did not reveal any neoplastic observations.

It can therefore be concluded with sufficient certainty that Phosphoric acid, butyl ester will not cause carcinogenic effects and that testing is not scientifically necessary.
