Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

ACZ is not a skin sensitiser nor a skin irritant.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
7.4.1 Skin sensitisation:
KS - GP. Zorbas, 1995. KL.1. Non-sensitiser

7.4.2 Respiratory sensitisation:
Data waiver

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

No studies are available which assess pulmonary function in animals or humans following repeated exposure. There is insufficient evidence to conclude that ACZ causes respiratory irritation, furthermore no evidence of sensitisation of the respiratory tract has been reported. The chemical structure does not contain a diisocynate group or other structural alerts (i. e. acid anhydride, platinum salt).

Migrated from Short description of key information:
7.4.2 Respiratory sensitisation: Waiver

Justification for classification or non-classification

Confirmed non-skin sensitiser. No evidence of potential sensitisation to the respiratory tract.
