Additional information

An experimental study is available for the crude quality, based on observation at given temperatures (+5°C and -20°C), as recommended for NCS: the substance remained liquid at the lowest temperature tested.

For the rectified quality, literature data for the two components showing the highest variation in the composition (i.e. cineole, m.p.=1.5°C, increase by ca +20%, and alpha-pinene, m.p.=-62.5°C, decrease by ca -18%) show that increase of freezing point is anticipated. However, based on these values, it is expected to remain at least below the testing threshold of +5°C.

Results expressed as limit values cannot be retained as key data for purpose of CSA.

It should be noted that due to UVCB nature of the substance, batch variations are expected.
