This endpoint is relevant for the classification regarding flammable properties.

An experimental study is available for the crude quality.

Literature data for the three major components shows that the FP of the oil is determined by the major component, not by the most flammable (cineole, FP ca 47 -48°C, limonene, FP ca 45°C, and alpha-pinene, FP ca 33°C).

Therefore, for the rectified quality containing less alpha-pinene and more cineole, the Flash Point is expected to be similar. Moreover, regarding the classification thresholds (all above components in the same category), the margin of safety is considered sufficient for addressing both qualities in the same category, no higher hazard is anticipated.

The experimental result will be retained as key data for purpose of CSA.

It should be noted that due to UVCB nature of the substance, batch variations are expected.
