Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
DV-SOLV 1059 has no acute toxic effects on Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata up to the concentration of 100 mg/l under the tested conditions.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
One reliable key study (Lab Reasearch, 2010) is available for this endpoint.
The growth inhibition test with DV-SOLV 1059 on algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata)was determined in a 72 -hour static test according to the EU Commission Directive 92/69/EEC, Part C.3, the OECD Guideline for testing of chemicals No. 203 (1992) and the EPA Health Effects Test Guidelines (OPPTS 850.5400). The validity criteria were met and the study has been performed in accordance with the Principles of Good Laboratory Plactice Regulations.
Because significant toxic response was not observed during the preliminary concentration range-finding tests, only one test concentration at 100 mg/l was used in the main study. Additionnaly, a control was tested in parallel.
The correcting measured test item concentration was 96.5 mg/l at the start and 88.0 mg/l at the end of the test.
The deviation from the nominal concentration was 3.5% at the start and 12% at the end of the test.
Because of the deviation from the nominal concentration was less than 20% throghout the test, the results are based on the niminal concentration.
The EC50 values of the test item and their confidence limits were not calculated; due to the lack of toxic effects.
The summary of the biological results is as follows :
The 72h EbC50value (biomass): > 100.0mg test item/L
The 72h ErC50value (growth rate): >100.0 mg test item/L
The 72h EyC50value(yield): >100.0 mg test item/L
72h NOEC (overall): 100.0 mg test item/L
72h LOEC (overall): >100.0 mg test item/L
