Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The ready biodegradation potential of the substance was assessed with a QSAR analysis (using the BIOWIN model). The substance is considered to be not readily biodegradable.

The inherent biodegredation of the substance was determined in a tudy carried out according to OECD 302B. The results indicated that the substance is not inherently biodegradable.

Additionally, a QSAR exercise was performed to identify relevant degradation products of the substance, using the EAWAG-BBD Pathway Prediction System model. 53 degradation products were identified, and these were then assessed for their P (B and T) properties in view of the PBT/vPvB assessment. The biodegradability of each of the degradation products was predicted using the QSAR model BIOWIN available in the EPI Suite software. Of the 53 degradation products, 20 were predicted to be not readily biodegradable. The remaining 33 degradation products were predicted to be readily biodegradable.
