No gas generation or spontaneous ignitions were observed during any of
the initial tests (test 1 - test 3) and in the final test (test 4).
It is concluded that the sample does not generate flammable gases in
contact with water and is therefore non-hazardous.
Porcelain cup test (test 1): no ignition and no reaction was observed in
any of the 6 repetitions.
Filter paper test (test 2): no ignition, no charring and no reaction was
observed in any of the 3 repetitions.
Since no ignitions or charring was observed during any test, the sample
is considered not pyrophoric.
The substance is not considered a pyrophoric substance according to a
GLP study (K1, Dekra, 2017). In addition, the test substance does not
generate flammable gases in contact with water (K1, Dekra, 2017).
Finally, the test substance is not considered as a flammable and a
self-heating substance (no test performed, waiving because the substance
is a liquid).
The substance does not need to be classified as flammable, self-heating
or pyrophoric. In addition, the substance does not need to be classified
as a substance that generate flammable gases in contact with water.
