Description of key information

Not relevant due to rapid biodegradability.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Since 2-amino-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol (AEPD) is rapidly biodegradable, with >90% biodegradation in 7 days under inherent biodegradability test conditions, it is expected to be degraded by microorganisms in the environment as well. Simulation tests in water and sediment are therefore not necessary for this substance.
