Description of key information
Exposure of the terrestrial compartment to the substance is unlikely with regard to its physicochemical properties, as the low Koc geometric mean value (463), together with the very low log Kow (-1.68), are indicating that the soil is not a relevant compartment for DMPPA_701-402-5. Moreover, nearly all wastewater from manufacturing and processing of DMPPA_701-402-5 is sampled and incinerated as hazardous waste. During the regular use of DMPPA_701-402-5 fixed on technical textile surfaces (stable chemical bonding) no further exposure to the aquatic environment and subsequent to the terrestrial environment is expected to occur as no release from treated textile fabrics is taking place. However, a study on the toxicity of DMPPA_701-402-5 to terrestrial microorganisms is available and showed no acute toxicity to Eisenia foetida up to 1000 mg/kg dry weight soil.
