Description of key information

In accordance with REACH Annex IV, Point 9.2.1.3, Column 2, the study does not need to be conducted as the direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely. The following situation applies to DMPPA_701-402-5 during the manufacturing process, during processing, and when used as flame retardant in end products: Exposure to terrestric environment is considered negligible, as nearly all wastewater from manufacturing and processing of DMPPA_701-402-5 is sampled and incinerated as hazardous waste. During the regular use of DMPPA_701-402-5 fixed on technical textile surfaces (stable chemical bonding) no further exposure to the aquatic environment and subsequent to the terrestrial environment is expected to occur as no release from treated textile fabrics is taking place.
