Administrative data

Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
A test item is considered an oxidizing substance when a mixture of the substance and cellulose in a 1:1 ratio (by mass) spontaneously ignites or the mean pressure rise time of the mixture is less than or equal to mean pressure rise time of a 1:1 reference mixture (by mass) of 65% aqueous nitric acid and cellulose.
The composition of the test item is shown in the attachment. None of the components of the test item does contain groups that act as an oxidizing agent. The oxygen atoms that are present in the molecular structure of the test item are chemically bonded to carbon or hydrogen.
In conclusion, the test substance has no oxidizing properties.
