Three short-term tests are available conducted with fish, daphnia, and algae. Also a long-term study with Daphnia magna is available. This study was conducted with the read-across substance sorbic acid. As also a NOEC value could be derived in the algae study, this study could also be regarded as a long-term study. Consequently, two long-term studies are available for the PNEC calculation.

Only one study is available for aquatic microorganisms is available. In this test, an EC50 as well as a NOEC could be derived. According to the guidance, the NOEC of >100 mg/l is taken for the PNEC calculation.
