Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

There is no information concerning long term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates for n-Decyl methacrylate available. The results of the aquatic
long term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates studies on the structurally closely related Isodecyl methacrylate (i-C10-Ester) are considered as
representative for the long term aquatic toxicity of n-Decyl methacrylate (C10 -Ester).
In an OECD 211 GLP study performed with Isodecyl methacrylate at semi-static conditions, the 21 day NOEC for Daphnia magna was at 54.2 µg/L.

Additional information

There is no information concerning long term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates for n-Decyl methacrylate available. The results of the aquatic

long term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates studies on the structurally closely related Isodecyl methacrylate (i-C10-Ester) are considered as

representative for the long term aquatic toxicity of n-Decyl methacrylate (C10 -Ester).

In a valid guideline study (OECD 211, GLP, semi-static conditions), the 21 day reproductive toxicity to daphnids was determined to be as follows: EC50 for Daphnia magna was > 118 µg/L, NOEC: 54.2 µg/L and LOEC: 118 µg/L for Isodecyl methacrylate. All effect values given are based on the geometric mean measured test concentrations.
