Description of key information

Read-across to structurally analogue substance Isodecyl methacrylate.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The results of the biodegradation studies on the structurally closely related Isodecyl methacrylate (i-C10-Ester) are considered as representative for the biobiodegradation of n-Decyl methacrylate (C10 -Ester).

No information concerning degradation of Isodecyl methacrylate in soil is available. However, according to GLP guideline study OECD 310 the substance is readily biodegradable (Noack, 2011). Therefore, simulation studies on biodegradation in soil are not provided.
