The likely environmental fate of the substance has been assessed based on the substances physico-chemical properties and relevant study data.

The substance is poorly water soluble (4.02 x 10-5 g/L) and has a relatively low octanol/water partition coefficient (log10 Pow2.78), indicating that the substance will predominately stay in the aquatic environment if released. The substances relatively low adsorption coefficient (log10 Koc2.96) indicates that the substance has limited potential for adsorption to sediments or soils and is therefore not likely to partition from the aquatic compartment into the sediment or soil compartments.

The substance is not readily biodegradable (0% degradation after 28 days). The substance is therefore considered to have the potential to persist in the aquatic environment.

Based on the octanol/water partition coefficient (log10 Pow 2.78) the substance is considered to have low potential for bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms. The low potential for bioaccumulation is supported by the results from a bioaccumulation test in carp, where the BCFs of the test substance ranged from less than 2.0 to 14 at Level 1 (test concentration 0.3 mg/L) and less than 15 to 37 at Level 2 (test concentration 0.03 mg/L).
