Description of key information
The log Kow of 2-oxepanone, polymer with 1,4-butanediol is reported to be 2.5 (see Section 4.7, partition coefficient). According to Column 2 of Annex IX of the REACH regulation, no study is required if the log Kow is below the trigger of 3, as the substance can be expected to have a low potential for bioaccumulation. The bioaccumulation potential of 2-oxepanone, polymer with 1,4-butanediol is therefore concluded to be low and further information is not required.
