Description of key information

The dissociation constant of the carbamic acid component of the test material was estimated to be 5.31 ± 0.41 units using specialized predictive software. From available literature references, the mean dissociation constant of the ethanol, 2-amino- component was determined to be 9.65 (%RSD = 2.55% using nine values from seven independent sources). The ethanol, 2-amino- component incorporated in the assessment also represents the major known degradation product of the carbamate. The second degradation product, carbon dioxide, is a gas under normal atmospheric conditions.
