Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One valid key study is available to assess the acute immobilization of the test item CHIMEXANE NB to Daphnia magna. This study was performed according to OECD 202 (2004) and Council Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 Method C.2 (2008) with GLP statement, under static conditions over a period of 48h with seven concentration levels: 1.00 - 2.15 - 4.64 - 10.0 - 21.5 - 46.4 - 100 mg/L.

20 test organisms were exposed to each test concentration and control (4 replicates with 5 animals per vessel). All concentration levels and the control were analysed via LC-MS/MS after 0 h and 48h. The recoveries in the fresh (0h) and old media (48h) were in the range of 95% to 106% of the nominal concentrations of the test item. The water quality parameters (pH, values, dissolved oxygen concentration), measured at 0 and 48h were determined to be within the acceptable limits. The validity criteria of the test guideline were fulfilled.

The EC50 (48h) was calculated to be 4.72 mg/L. However, as this value is greater than the CMC (3.8 mg/L), effect concentration should be set as the CMC as a precautionary worst case. Consequently, EC50 (48h) was 3.8 mg/L.

All effect values given are based on the nominal concentrations of the test item.
