Additional information

One valid key study is available to assess the toxicity of Chimexane NB to microorganisms. This study was performed according to OECD Guideline 209 and EU Method C.11 with GLP statement. Test system was activated sludge of the municipal treatment plant of D-31157 Sarstedt. After a (non GPL) range finding test, a limit test with a concentration of 1000 mg/L was used for the test, under static conditions. The respiration rates of the controls (one at the beginning and one at the end of the test), reference item (Copper (II) sulphate pentahydrate) and test item (only one replicate) were measured after a contact time of three hours, and the inhibitory effects of the test and reference item was determined in comparison to the control respiration rates. No inhibition was observed for the test item. The EC50 -value for the reference item was 109 mg/L. All validity criteria were fulfilled. The EC50 (nominal concentration) of Chimexane HB was > 1000 mg/L, the NOEC was assumed to be close to 1000 mg/L
