Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

First order rate constants were calculated from plots of PCBTF concentration and oxygen concentration versus time. From these rate constants, the average ratio of the PCBTF volatilization rate to the oxygen reareation rate (KPCBT/Koxygen)was determined to be 0.64 ± 0.04.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The results predicts that the PCBTF volatilization rate from natural waters is slightly slower that than the oxygen reareation rate. The PCBTF volatilization rate from any natural water may also be calculated if the water reareation rate is known.
