First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures:
FIRST AID-INHALATION: Remove from the contaminated area. Remove to fresh air.
Obtain medical attention immediately or hospitalize.
FIRST AID-SKIN:Remove contaminated clothing.Wash skin immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
If persistent irritation occurs, obtain medical attention or hospitalize.
FIRST AID-EYE: DO NOT DELAY.
Wash immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention.
FIRST AID-INGESTION: DO NOT DELAY.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconsciousor convulsing person. Obtain medical attention immediately or hospitalize.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
Eyes contact may cause irritations.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
If in doubt about what to do, call national poison center control.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, foam, waterspray or fog.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Hazardous combustion products may include: carbon, nitrogen and sulphur oxides.
Advice for firefighters:
Unsuitable extinguishing media : Water in jet
Protective equipment : Full protective and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Ventilate contaminated area thoroughly. Do not breathe: Dust.
Avoid raising a dust cloud. Avoid contact with : skin and eyes.
Evacuate the area of all non essential personnel.
Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Remove ignition sources.
Full chemical protective combinaison.
Monogoggles with lateral protections. PVC gloves gauntlet type. If risk of inhalation of dust wear: general purpose dust respirator (cartridge P3 type) or self-contained breathing apparatus.
Environmental precautions :
Prevent contamination of soil and water.
Prevent from entering into drains, ditches, rivers or the sea.
Inform local authorities if this cannot be prevented.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Sweep and shovel up with a wet scrubbing in order to avoid creating a dust cloud.
Showel up and place in a labelled drum, sealable container for subsequent safe and complies with regulations disposal.
Wash contaminated area with water.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe dust. Only use in well ventilated areas.
Avoid generation or accumulation of dust cloud. The product may form flammable dust-air mixtures.
Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Keep away from heat or sources of ignition.
Keep container tightly closed and away from moisture (hygroscopic product).
RECOMMENDED MATERIAL: double polyethylene bag in fiber drum.
