Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Appearance / physical state / colour: The test item is a pale white to white crystalline solid.
Melting point / freezing point: The test item has a melting point of 70.4 °C at atmospheric pressure (1009 hPa), as determined by differential scanning calorimetry.
Boiling point: The test item has a boiling range of 357 – 358 °C corrected to normal atmospheric pressure (1013 hPa), as determined by differential scanning calorimetry.
Density: The relative density of the test item at 20 ± 0.01 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) is 1.108.
Granulometry: The test item contains a coarse fraction >2000 μm of 24%. The fine fraction (76 %) of the test item has a median particle size D50 of 44 μm, which was determined by laser diffraction measurement. The D10 and D90 of the fine fraction were 6.5 and 142.3 μm, respectively.
Vapour pressure: The vapour pressure of the test item was determined to be 4.9E-4 Pa at 20°C, 1.0E-3 Pa at 25°C and 2.9E-2 at 50°C.
Partition coefficient: The log Pow was determined to be 5.1 at 23°C, as determined by the HPLC method.
Water solubility: The water solubility of the test item was determined using the column elution method. The water solubility was found to be 1.08 ± 0.15 mg/L at 20 °C (pH 5 -6).
Surface tension: Waiver. The study does not need to be conducted because surface tension is not a desired property of the material and based on structure, surface activity is not expected or cannot be predicted.
Flash point: Waiver. The study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids.
Auto-flammability: Waiver. The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid having a melting point <= 160°C.
Flammability: The test item could not be ignited by applying a flame as ignition source for at least 2 minutes. The test item melted.
Explosiveness: Waiver. In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the explosive properties study does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.
Oxidising properties: Waiver. The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Classification and labelling: The substance is not classified for physico-chemical hazards.
Additional information
Physico-chemical endpoints are completed for this substance based on experimental data following standard guidelines or data waivers. All data are considered to be reliable and relevant for the endpoint concerned.
