Remarks:
Screening test for thermal stability in air
Value:
0
Remarks on result:
not thermal sensitive if heated under defined confinement
Remarks:
The heat of decomposition was below 500 J/g. Therefore the main test on explosive properties was not necessary.

A DSC-measurement in a closed glass cruicible in a closed high pressure cruicible with the test item showed an endothermal effect in the temperature range of 300 -360°C. A second DSC-measurement in a closed glass cruicible with the test item showed an endothermal effect in the temperature range of 310 -360°C. The test item showed discolouration from white to black during the test.

The heat of decomposition was below 500 J/g. Therefopre the main test on the explosive properties was necessary.

The test item had no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The test item had no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14.
