Description of key information

Testing demonstrated that there were no thermal events and so it is considered that MK92K does not possess explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The explosive properties of MK92K were determined in accordance with EU Method A.14 (Explosive Properties).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Due to the multi-component nature of MK92K it was not possible to calculate the oxygen balance. The chemical structure of the known and reasonably expected components of the test substance indicates the test substance would not be considered to possess explosive properties as none of the groups known to confer explosive properties on a subsance are present. One DSC test was performed. This testing demonstrated that there were no thermal events and so it is considered that MK92K does not possess explosive properties.
