Description of key information

After application of the calibration factor, the mean result was 49.65 mN/m. This result is lower than 60 mN/m, and therefore correction using the Harkins-Jordan factor was performed.

The mean corrected result was 47.88 mN/m and is therefore considered to be surface active.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000

Additional information

The surface tension of MK92K was determined according to OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions) and EU Method A.5 (Surface Tension).
